4 Ways To Reach Your Dreams Faster

how to reach your dreams faster

We are all looking for ways to hack life. Specifically, we are looking for ways to reach dreams quicker. The tips that are going to throw gasoline on our small fire and turn it into a roaring blaze.

Here are 4 ways to reach your dreams fasters:

1. Take consistent action

No matter what you learn, if it isn’t applied your dreams will always stay far off. Action on its own isn’t enough either. It must be a consistent plodding in a direction. There is something magical that happens when you take action consistently.

Action at first yields little to no result but within time if you stay consistent, action turns into momentum. Momentum is what will make your dreams happen at light speed. Stay consistent in action to produce a new momentum towards your dreams.

“In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.” – Tony Robbins

2. Be aware of your environment

If you aren’t where you want to be, chances are you are not in the right environment. To reach our dreams faster, we need to surround ourselves with others going in the same direction as us that expect excellence. Your environment will pull you down or lift you up. It will be the gas on the fire or the water putting the same fire out. Care for and grow your dream in the right environment to watch growth pick up steam.

3. Create a mastermind group

Collaboration, accountability, and creativity are all things that happen in a mastermind. A good mastermind is a meeting of people that bring little different skills to the table and are action takers that constantly discuss problems and victories in their dream chasing journey.

Your mastermind will help you to see a bigger dream. They will help speak life when it is needed and correction when you wander off the trail. Another benefit to a mastermind is you will begin to see the skill that you have that you didn’t know was there.

If you are consistently helping members solve a problem, that is an area of skill that has a market. Forming or joining a mastermind is a necessity to kick start your dreams at an accelerated rate.

4. Book/coaching

Learning from someone else’s experience will lower your time needed to reach your dreams. A coach or a good book can show you the action you need to take to get to the next level and save you energy from pointing you in the right direction.

A huge caveat to this tip is never stop taking consistent action. If you are reading or getting coaching, you must apply. It is easy to fall into the trap of always learning and being fat on information and malnourished on the action. Save yourself some time and learn from those that have gone before.

“All coaching is, is taking a player where he can’t take himself.” – Bill McCartney

Stop wasting time looking for a magic bullet and reach major milestones in your life by implementing these four keys. Will your dreams happen overnight? Of course not, but when you look back six months from now, you will be amazed at how far you have come.

Keep taking footsteps toward your dreams by taking consistent action, maintaining the right environment, joining a mastermind, and getting a boost from someone that’s been there. If you do these four things, you will reach your dreams much faster. Be blessed on the lifelong journey of dreaming big!

Thanks for the well written article. After reading this, it motivated me a lot to reach my dreams. I am still young, early 20’s. I have a lot of goals and dreams I want to achieve. 🙂

    Nice one Zechariah!

I love your first point about consistency.

I think that consistency is the ability to maintain actions regardless of your feelings. You press on even when you feel like quitting.

When you work on any big goal your motivation will wax and wane like the waves hitting the shore.

Sometimes you’ll feel motivated, sometimes you won’t. But it’s not your motivation that creates results – it’s your action.

    Thanks for the article!

I was sixteen years old when I first felt the pure exhilaration and profound sense of purpose through political activism. I was a junior in high school, elected as a student member of our district’s school board in Rock Island, Illinois. At my very first meeting, I was faced with a disturbing agenda item: budget cuts. Our economy was in the tank, revenues were down and the school board had no choice but to cut sports, music, arts programs and lay-off teachers.  (more…)
