Tim Ferriss Quotes

Author, entrepreneur, blogger, podcaster, public speaker, charity advocate, health guru and multiple business award winner – Timothy Ferris has achieved pretty much everything one could imagine. Known for pushing the limits, Tim is one of the only people in the world whose other accomplishments completely dwarf the fact that he’s a Princeton alumnus.

Below are 40 of his most famous quotes throughout his record career in life hacking:

Tim-Ferriss---Fear

2. “People will choose unhappiness over uncertainty.”

3. “You are the average of the five people you associate with most, so do not underestimate the effects of your pessimistic, unambitious, or disorganized friends. If someone isn’t making you stronger, they’re making you weaker.”

7. “To enjoy life, you don’t need fancy nonsense, but you do need to control your time and realize that most things just aren’t as serious as you make them out to be.”

8. “The opposite of love is indifference, and the opposite of happiness is boredom.”

9. “Most people are fast to stop you before you get started but hesitate to get in the way if you’re moving.”

10. “Poisonous people do not deserve your time. To think otherwise is masochistic.”

Time-Ferriss-Hard-to-fail

13. “The fishing is best where the fewest go and the collective insecurity of the world makes it easy for people to hit home runs while everyone is aiming for base hits.”

14. “Different is better when it is more effective or more fun.”

16. “Life is too short to be small.”

17. “Many a false step was made by standing still.”

18. “Remember—boredom is the enemy, not some abstract “failure.”

It seems in the last decade or so, motivational quotes and inspirational quotes are front and center on Facebook and Instagram feeds. It’s no wonder why. They really do have that impactful kick to make you get up and do stuff!

I know for me, it was all these quotes that I kept reading that:

  • pushed me out of my comfort zone
  • gave me courage to smash goals
  • helped me believe in myself
  • soothed my broken heart sometimes
  • helped me out of rock bottom, and
  • kept me strong in times of trouble

Legends like Les Brown, Joel Brown and Tony Robbins motivated the crap out of me. I stayed strong and focused because of their powerful words. I mean, they did quote all these inspirational words to motivate us, no?

Of course they did. So I’ve searched high and low for the best and most empowering famous quotes of all time in hopes they inspire you like they did me.

Do quotes really help?

The answer is yes and no. No they won’t work if you read them, brush them off and never feel the power of their words.

Yes they will work if you make them work for you and you want them too. Quotes are like affirmations. Many of us recant affirmations either as part of our morning routine, evening routine or just whenever we need a boost.

When you read them and repeat them out loud and feel each and every word in every ounce of your being, they work!! Besides, I’m living proof they help. Empowering quotes have helped me out of rock bottom twice, depression a few times, and helped me smash and achieve goals.

So yes, they work. And these most famous quotes I’ve chosen are famous for a reason. They have inspired, motivated and empowered millions of people around the world to chase their dreams, believe in themselves and never give up.
