All I can do is act on the topic/issue according to my instinct and values, and leave the quarrels to develop on their own. Here’s how I am using my own talents to act on this:

Propaganda. Kony is old news. This is a government backed campaign to create another enemy now that the Arabs are played out. They started with the Somali pirate scare and then Gaddafi. Soon U.S. military presence in Africa will be justified because of campaigns like this and the U.S. will rape the country for its resources. Peep game people. Don’t fall for the hype. This has been going on for 25 years and all the sudden every American somehow cares about the African children? Give me a break. I’m not saying the man shouldn’t be stopped, but he hasn’t been seen since 2007, and Uganda isnt like that anymore. It’s sad to see my favorite site A2S on the bandwagon.

    Hi Jordan,
So what are you trying to say exactly? That we shouldn’t spread the good word about shutting Joseph Kony down? This guy deserves to be destroyed for what he has done and everybody should know about it. Uganda would be a much better place, when the bad is taken away then it leaves more of a reason for the young generation of Uganda to live with more hope in return they will be more ambitious and hopeful than be living, wishing that they were dead instead so they can see their brothers and sisters again.

Telesha, I was just stating what the Kony campaign has failed to clarify on. They have released a video that briefly breaks down how to view their expenses and focused plan of action.

What I do not see is the clarification needed to the mass amounts of those jumping on this bandwagon that simply sending aid isn’t the best plan of action. I hope great things come of this movement and the proper leadership to reach their goals.

Before you jump on this bandwagon understand that it is old news, footage and facts. Currently the problem in Uganda isn’t the rebel forces, but the excess aid that is being sent and used by them. Their government uses most of their resources for aid so they are completely provided with everything (food, clothes, bedding, education) they need and more to where they are not focused on establishing a market of their own.

Kony has been pushed out into the Congo and anti-rebel forces are in control of the region. I know this because I read an article from someone whom recently was there. The Ugandan people even sell aid supplies from all over America. While I am absolutely for supporting our brothers and sisters around the globe we must also realize we are feeding them with reasons why they shouldn’t have to start their own market.
