“Books were my pass to personal freedom. I learned to read at age three, and there discovered was a whole world to conquer that went beyond our farm in Mississippi.” ― Oprah Winfrey
“I really had a lot of dreams when I was a kid, and I think a great deal of that grew out of the fact that I had a chance to read a lot.” ― Bill Gates
“In my whole life, I have known no wise people who didn’t read all the time — none, zero. You’d be amazed at how much Warren(Buffett) reads — at how much I read. My children laugh at me. They think I’m a book with a couple of legs sticking out”.” ― Charles T. Munger
“I insist on a lot of time being spent, almost every day, to just sit and think. That is very uncommon in American business. I read and think. So I do more reading and thinking, and make less impulse decisions than most people in business. I do it because I like this kind of life.” ― Warren Buffett

Success Is Never Owned and Rent Is Due Everyday

I coached the basketball team at the University of St. Francis for 34 years. In December of 1987 we went to the west coast to play the University of San Francisco. We were a small, liberal arts university in Joliet, Illinois. I would guess the players on that San Francisco team had never heard of us. (more…)

By having a plan in place, you will wake up every morning with a clear idea of what it is you need to do each day. Just by writing down your goals, there is a 42% greater chance you will achieve those goals than if they just stayed in your head. I found it better to wait for the movie more entertaining then reading the book.

I disagree with all of this. The only way to truly learn anything is from direct experience. To whatever extent you can be guided by the experiences of others, it’s not the same as learning from your own. Even less can you skim the pages of someones life and think you’ve learned a thing. If you truley want more time to read and know everything then do what I did, and become immortal. However it will cost you lots more than most are willing to pay. hahaha.

Mr. Lopez,
Why do you live in a studio? Does the green screen improve your mood, productivity and efficiency?

Well, he actually lives in a mansion at holliwood hills. I’m one of his studentes and in a part of his program he says to be above the common of the pople you have to investigate prior to assume. Maybe that simple tip could help you see beyond your envy.

Michael, you attempted NLP language in order to cause cognitive confusion. As someone who trained in the field of NLP I know that your response was a way to disarm the original poster by causing confusion.
“Investigate prior to assume” in order to be above the common people. ( I will forgive your spelling mistake, and elitist language) doesn’t make sense in any context.
In order to be better than everyone else you have to investigate what it is like to be poor? Or investigate what it is like to be rich/successful in order to become rich/successful. You mean the “Act as if” theory?
Either way, semantics aside, the original poster was correct when they said that Tai was using a green screen. So, in reality, there was nothing for you to argue against.

I love this website, but this is hands down the worst advice…Enrich your mind and don’t look for shortcuts…every nugget of knowledge gets you closer to your dreams…Warren Buffet didn’t become a billionaire and best investor of all time by shortcutting his way through prospectuses.

Reading faster is one thing, but 1) retaining the ideas in the content and 2) enjoying the reading are different from reading speed.

Hey Ben, over time I have learned how to read quickly while still retaining the content. It’s like bench pressing, you start out weak and then over time end up pushing out big weight…
