1. Stop Reinforcing Negative Thoughts

Perhaps the most important thing that you can do to have more energy is to stop negative thoughts.

The more time you spend on your negative thoughts—like what you don’t have or what your spouse doesn’t do—the less energy you’ll have.


2. Cease Your Criticisms

Another way to have more energy is to stop criticizing others for their actions and decisions. Criticisms take energy, and don’t help you reach your own personal goals.


3. Become More Decisive

If you’re an indecisive person, then you’re actually making a decision to not make a decision. When you do this, you’re draining your energy. Take control of your energy by making decisions about your actions.


4. Rest When You Need It

When your body is asking for a rest, give it to it. If you can’t keep your eyes open any longer, don’t; instead, take a nap, sleep in, or doing something meditative for yourself. Your body will thank you.


5. Nourish Your Body Well

If you’re fueling yourself with granola bars and Cheerios, know that your body needs and deserves more. Eat real food, like big salads, oily fish, and healthy fats.


6. Stop Doing Something You Hate

If you’re doing something you hate and that’s draining your energy, stop. When you stop performing activities that suck your energy, you’ll feel healthier and fuller.


7. Get Your Heart Rate Up

You may not be in the mood to exercise when you’re feeling low on fuel, but getting your heart rate up for a bit can help to boost energy levels.

Exercising also improves your mood, boosts your metabolism, and lowers your BMI.

    This was a great interview from an inspiring woman who have given some great advice. A lot of entrepreneurs including myself can get wrapped up in doing so much and trying to get so much done that we dont take breaks. When your body is telling you to rest, then you really need to rest and build up more energy to be more productive.

    I was recently talking to my girlfriend about this who is studying to become a doctor. She put in so many hours of studying and go days without getting the adequate amount of sleep. She feels that she is productive, but often times she feels stressed, sometimes unnecessary which comes from not enough sleep. I can tell the difference when she gets enough sleep.

    Loved the advice and the stories.

    Hello,the first point is very critical, a negative mind will never do anything that goes beyong average. even though with a positive mind, you still need many other skills and talent to succeed. I think that if we can take control of what goes in our mind miracles are possible.     This is very good advice… I am trying to work on #1 and #2 for a while now and sometimes these things still creep in quietly. Anyway, I feel that I have made a lot of progress since I started to my personal development journey as detailed in my blog. With your list, maybe I should add #3 as my next thing to work on!
