Published

on

Virgin CEO & Founder Richard Branson faced the challenges of Dyslexia during his schooling years.

Wikipedia defines Dyslexia as:

A difficulty with learning to read fluently and with accurate comprehension despite normal intelligence.

But that didn’t slow Richard Branson down. In 1966 at the tender age of 16, Richard packed his bags and left school early to start his first business venture, a magazine called “Student”.

Only a few years later and Richard Branson would go on to start his next venture “Virgin Records“, the company name “Virgin”. This name was intended as Richard saw the record company as his “first time” at starting such a venture and found the name quite fitting.

Richard Branson now owns over 400 businesses under the Virgin name, he has also broken world records, donated hundreds of millions and has an estimated net worth of $4.6 Billion dollars. He has proven to all who are facing the challenges of dyslexia that they can also become successful if they believe in themselves and follow their passion.

I hope you enjoyed this information and I hope that Richard Branson’s story inspired you to face your challenges despite the odds you are up against.
