3 Quotes From Lone Survivor That Will Spark Motivation
Lone Survivor is a film based on a true story. The story of a Navy Seals team who’s mission went bad. This film offers far more than bone crunching, skin shredding action.
There are many memorable quotes and lessons throughout the movie. Once your pulse is back to normal, you can think back and realize how much there was to learn.
Below are 3 memorable quotes that will spark your motivation:
Quote #1:
“There’s a storm inside of us. I’ve heard many team guys speak of this. A burning, a river, a drive. An unrelenting desire to push yourself harder and further than anyone could think possible.”
The seals push themselves physically in battle, taking multiple bullets yet still keep pushing on. An entrepreneur should be no different. If you want to succeed, you must have a drive. An unrelenting desire to push yourself. It’s about you and only you.
At best no one is going to push you on, realistically though, people will only tell you why your idea won’t work. You need to be self motivated and push as hard a possible. Entrepreneurship is a battle, you need to keep fighting and keep pushing.
Quote #2:
“There ain’t nothing I can’t do. No sky too high, no sea too rough. Anything in life worth doing is worth overdoing. Moderation is for cowards.”
Yet another inspiring and motivating quote. As an entrepreneur you need to think big. No challenge is too big, and anything worth doing is worth overdoing. Are you planning on launching a new app that will provide a great new service in your country? Stop right there.
If it’s worth doing it’s worth over doing. Why not offer it as a world-wide solution? Think big! Are you trying to build a web site that will enjoy 100,000 monthly visitors? You’re thinking small. Aim for bigger and better goals.
Quote #3:
“I can never forget, but no matter how much it hurts, how dark it gets or no matter how far you fall, you are never out of the fight.”
This is undoubtedly true, no matter how bad you fail and no matter how grim your situation seems to be, you are never out of the game. You can always make a come back. There are many companies out there that were on the verge of closing up shop only to make a massive comeback. Think Apple was always so huge? Steve Jobs got fired from his own company.
Brush up on your Apple history as this is probably the best example out there. Steve was fired and it seemed like it was game over. Only for him to make a massive comeback and bring Apple to where it is today. In the words of Robert F Kennedy, “Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.” You must be willing to take risks and keep going even if you fail.
