How Learning to Say ‘No’ Can Improve Your Business

The word “no” is a unique word that despite its negative connotations, is capable of positive consequences when used correctly. For example, when someone asks you to do something you don’t want to do, and you say no, you immediately know that someone is unhappy with such a response. However, in your mind, it feels like a positive outcome, because you’ve prevented yourself from doing something you don’t want to do. (more…)

To have success, one must dedicate themselves 100% to their cause. There’s no secret formula for success. Wake early, make things happen and work hard than you will have success.

This is a great motivational website. FULL of content to cherry pick motivation from!
M.Coleman, you have a good point there. Daymond already had one of the easiest parts in place, a friend who is a well connected entertainment icon! It goes to show it’s who you know in many cases. Without LL he might have been S.O.L.
It is frustrating as a regular person trying to achieve success, to realize that everyone you see who has what you want, didn’t get it the “old fashioned way”. Almost, and I stress ALMOST, everyone who I admire and look into their background to see HOW they did it…had some sort of an advantage.
All we can do is use that to motivate us even further. Tap into what, if any, is YOUR advantage, and try to capitolize on it. Most of us have to work harder to make things happen. I love the chase of a dream, and look forward to sitting back one day and saying ” I ” did it and I didn’t have ____X_____ to help me out. I would rather chase that and know I have real guts and never succeed, then to get something handed to me ( or easier than average ) and pretend I am a genius.
There are no constants, and the world is full of “experts” with “great advice” but at the end of the day most of us have to fight, dig, and scratch to make our own luck.

Ok I don’t really get where Daymond lived outside his comfort zone?? He goes from his childhood to saying he knew he needed a spokesperson for his brand. Then goes straight to so I called LL COOL J???? Ok so how did you get there? I can’t just pick up my phone and call LL…

Daymond and LL lived in the same hood and are childhood friends. All he did was ask him and other rappers to wear his t-shirts in the rap videos for people to think that FuBu was a huge brand
