I also would say Erin Brockovich, who had the confidence to take on a big a law case against a huge Gas and Electric Company. It just goes to show, if something means a lot to you having confidence in your own abilities is a must

If you’re in tech start-up please watch “The Social Network” a movie about Facebook. That movie will let you know that you don’t have to wait for everything to be perfect before you start. Just start from where ever you are. You can never finish a start up, it’s like a fashion, is never ending.

I would have included _Tucker: The Man and His Dream_. It offers a great lesson on the obstacles government throws in the way of startups in order to protect politically connected companies. The naive will have their eyes opened to the way government protects insiders at the expense of potential entrants.

It’s funny since, ” Catch Me if You Can” is about a criminal. But it is one of my favorite movies and it is very inspirational. Plus Leonardo Dicaprio is a terrific actor. That and, “The Pursuit of Happyness” are the only ones from this list that I’ve seen. I’ll try to watch the others.

I’d definitely have to include “The Pursuit of Happyness” under determination. Chris Gardner overcame the difficulties of homelessness and raising a toddler as a single father, all at the same time as completing the broker training program. The movie does take a few liberties in rearranging the story so it can be told in a little under 2 hours, but the main points of tenacity, resilience, and mental toughness are still there.

“The Secret” is definitely one you should watch for positive thinking, confidence and determination.
