Why The World Is Not Going To End Because Of One Man

Published

on

So recently we had a new world leader join the ranks. Some love him, and some believe he is going to destroy the world, as we know it. Despite what some might say, the world is not going to end. One man cannot bring down the entire world.

Here are the four reasons why the world is not going to end because of one man:

1. He’s showing us our dark side

The world has reached a certain point because of technology and the way we have treated the environment. This one man cannot bring us down and what he is doing is showing us our own dark side. He is showing us what we’ve become and helping us to look in the mirror.

We shouldn’t be afraid of our dark side that is represented by this man; we should use it to highlight where we need to improve. Racism has been tucked under the carpet as a thing of the past, but it’s more prevalent than ever.

I’ve shifted my belief to one of love for one another and forced myself to believe that we are global citizens. This one man is telling us that we are not global citizens and we must rebel against the sheer thought of that idea.

Sometimes we need to see our dark side and we need to come face to face with it. When we see what we’ve become as a society, instead of letting it rip us apart, we can use it to rebuild the world as we know it. There is so much power in darkness, and we have to band together and shine the light through which we cannot see through right now.

We have to have hope that this one man’s reign is only temporary and that good will prevail like it always does. Maybe we need a real hero like Batkid to return and not just save Gotham City but the planet.

2. He’s forcing us to seek change.

As long as we avoid the world’s problems and continue to talk about the issues rather than try and solve them, we’re never going to get the change we all seek. Our world is not in dire straits despite what the media may tell us, but we do need to change.

“No longer can we let hate rule some parts of the world. No longer can we stand for wars instead of peace. No longer can we refuse to love one another and live together. No longer can we let money and greed be the idealism that we teach our children in schools and through the content they consume. No longer can we let our food supply keep killing us”

This one man is helping us seek change, and it’s up to us to demand it. We can’t blame this man we can only learn from him. Blame will just suck our energy and motivation away from solving the problems we need to fix.

The protesting around the globe is a good thing. People have a right to voice their opinion and do so in a peaceful way without violence or hatred for one another. When we unite as one rather than remain divided like we are right now, we can achieve so much more together. Love is the answer.

3. He’s helping us hit rock bottom

As I’ve said before, we need to hit rock bottom before we can take the human race to the next level. The information age has come and gone; Technology has given us solutions as well as a new set of problems to solve. We’re now in the spiritual age we’re we are going back to our roots.

We’re questioning the operating manual of our human mind. We’re looking at each other now for solutions. We’re discovering that our human genes are fundamentally flawed and designed for a prehistoric world that has come and gone.

We’re learning to love all over again, and we’re discovering ancient practices such as meditation and gratitude as a way to solve conflict. We need this one man to help us through this new era, and I believe – while this may sound controversial – that this one man will change in the process.

I believe he will learn a thing or two and see what the human race is really possible of achieving. Maybe he will even change for the better. People can change they just need a reason to do so. This one man is not as evil as we think he’s just misguided and lost.

We’ve all been through this confusing time so remember that before you judge him. Yes, he’s said some horrendous things, but the power to forgive and know that no reign of terror can last forever is far more crucial.

4. He serves a purpose

Everything that happens in our world happens for a purpose. Think of it this way: the leaves and stems of an indoor plant fall off and die every year. As the leaves and stems go brown, through this period, the plant can lose some of its beauty.

Then one day, a spark of green comes from the center. Within a few days, the plant is surrounded by new green growth and the plant is on the way back to standing tall and green again. In case you’re wondering, I have an indoor plant sitting next to me as I write this and that’s how I thought of this analogy.

This one man has been sent by a higher power to lead us towards some unseen new direction. In my eyes, he’s the brown part of the plant that comes before the new green stems start to grow in our world. By having him reign terror on us for a while, we give the opportunity for someone else to stand up.

“Maybe after this man’s reign we’ll have a new Nelson Mandela that comes into power”

Maybe this new inspiring leader would never have stepped into the spotlight if it weren’t for the short term challenges we’re facing right now by his future predecessor.

Have faith in what we humans have created and don’t allow one man to destroy our happiness. Voice your opinion with your heart, not with your animal hunting, predatory instincts. Everything happens for a reason, and after this season is over, we’ll have an even more spectacular season to look forward to.

Focus on what you can do to make the world a better place. It takes just one idea to change the path of humanity, and you may (unbeknownst to you) be the one that leads that change or even inspires it.

Bridging the gap between employees and employers

In workplaces around the world, there’s a growing gap between employers and employees and between superiors and their teams. It’s a common refrain: “People don’t leave companies, they leave bad bosses.”

While there are, of course, cases where management could do better, this isn’t just a “bad boss” problem. The relationship between leaders and employees is complex. Instead of assigning blame, we should explore practical solutions to build stronger, healthier workplaces where everyone thrives.

Why This Gap Exists

Every workplace needs someone to guide, supervise, and provide feedback. That’s essential for productivity and performance. But because there are usually far more employees than managers, dissatisfaction, fair or not, spreads quickly.

What if, instead of focusing on blame, we focused on building trust, empathy, and communication? This is where modern leadership and human-centered management can make a difference.

Tools and Techniques to Bridge the Gap

Here are proven strategies leaders and employees can use to foster stronger relationships and create a workplace where people actually want to stay.

1. Practice Mutual Empathy

Both managers and employees need to recognize they are ultimately on the same team. Leaders have to balance people and performance, and often face intense pressure to hit targets. Employees who understand this reality are more likely to cooperate and problem-solve collaboratively.

2. Maintain Professional Boundaries

Superiors should separate personal issues from professional decision-making. Consistency, fairness, and integrity build trust, and trust is the foundation of a motivated team.

3. Follow the Golden Rule

Treat people how you would like to be treated. This simple principle encourages compassion and respect, two qualities every effective leader must demonstrate.

4. Avoid Micromanagement

Micromanaging stifles creativity and damages morale. Great leaders see themselves as partners, not just bosses, and treat their teams as collaborators working toward a shared goal.

5. Empower Employees to Grow

Empowerment means giving employees responsibility that matches their capacity, and then trusting them to deliver. Encourage them to take calculated risks, learn from mistakes, and problem-solve independently. If something goes wrong, turn it into a learning opportunity, not a reprimand.

6. Communicate in All Directions

Communication shouldn’t just be top-down. Invite feedback, create open channels for suggestions, and genuinely listen to what your people have to say. Healthy upward communication closes gaps before they become conflicts.

7. Overcome Insecurities

Many leaders secretly fear being outshone by younger, more tech-savvy employees. Instead of resisting, embrace the chance to learn from them. Humility earns respect and helps the team innovate faster.

8. Invest in Coaching and Mentorship

True leaders grow other leaders. Provide mentorship, career guidance, and stretch opportunities so employees can develop new skills. Leadership is learned through experience, but guided experience is even more powerful.

9. Eliminate Favoritism

Avoid cliques and office politics. Decisions should be based on facts and fairness, not gossip. Objective, transparent decision-making builds credibility.

10. Recognize Efforts Promptly

Recognition often matters more than rewards. Publicly appreciate employees’ contributions and do so consistently and fairly. A timely “thank you” can be more motivating than a quarterly bonus.

11. Conduct Thoughtful Exit Interviews

When employees leave, treat it as an opportunity to learn. Keep interviews confidential and use the insights to improve management practices and culture.

12. Provide Leadership Development

Train managers to lead, not just supervise. Leadership development programs help shift mindsets from “command and control” to “coach and empower.” This transformation has a direct impact on morale and retention.

13. Adopt Soft Leadership Principles

Today’s workforce, largely millennials and Gen Z, value collaboration over hierarchy. Soft leadership focuses on partnership, mutual respect, and shared purpose, rather than rigid top-down control.

The Bigger Picture: HR’s Role

Mercer’s global research highlights five key priorities for organizations:

  • Build diverse talent pipelines

  • Embrace flexible work models

  • Design compelling career paths

  • Simplify HR processes

  • Redefine the value HR brings

The challenge? Employers and employees often view these priorities differently. Bridging that perception gap is just as important as bridging the relational gap between leaders and staff.

Treat Employees Like Associates, Not Just Staff

When you treat employees like partners, they bring their best selves to work. HR leaders must develop strategies to keep talent engaged, empowered, and prepared for the future.

Organizational success starts with people, always. Build the relationship with your team first, and the results will follow.
