I am a widow and I saw so many regrets in husbands eyes, wished he had been there more and cried when he realised he was not going to see his boys become what he had wished for. Since then I think of death every second. A friend asked me why I love my boys, I felt it was stupid u ”ve got to love yr kids. That’s what u were made for as soon as u made the decision to have children, give all and expect little. Them being happy, kind and basically doing the right thing makes it all worthwhile.

Thank you so much for posting this! I feel it is very selfish to have children so they can “take care” of me when I’m on my deathbed. It is a personal and financial decision, not too mention having the right partner to create them with. If you are going to have children, raise them to be kind, hardworking, honest and compassionate. As far as inheritance and a legacy that will go to their children…if someone out there doesn’t have anyone to leave their inheritance to…I am available! lol

Develop Charity, kindness, and giving. These 3 will leave you with a tangible joy few people find. Charity will help you appreciate all people and love them for who they are and not what you think they are. Kindness will return to you 100 fold. Giving will help you forget your own troubles, will bless others, will lift you, and what you give will come back to you 1000 times more. These are simple laws of the universe just like the law of gravity or the law of thermal dynamics. Once a person can live by simple laws of the universe they will die with little regrets!

Agree with 7 except not realistic because confrontation requires the person being confronted to be willing to listen also. Unfortunately that’s not always the case.

I see where you are coming from and you’re right – it’s never a guarantee. But it’s also not a guarantee those nephew and niece ‘fillers’ will be there either … Also, we were all once kids no? Otherwise we wouldn’t be here talking. this means someone gave us the chance to be a ‘nuisance’ and ‘hindrance’ to them so that one day we can grow up and make something of ourselves – why not return the favour? My 2 cents though …

Number 7 is stupid…Having kids is absolutely no guarantee that they will be there when you need them or that they will love you. There is also the fillers called nieces and nephews too… Im sure that 99% of the time they do love you and they will be there but you should have kids just so that there will be “somene there to take care of me and love me”..that in itself is stupid. Sadly, the way some of these generations are, our generation will die alone anyway because they were raised to be selfish and think of themselves anyway. Seen it happen.

Sorry but the dying wish is BS. It is easy to say I wish I had taken the risk, when there is not more risk to take. Risk and yes sometimes overly exaggerated perceived risk is the reason why we don’t all follow our dreams. With not opportunity costs in the future, of course that is the statement you make. But life is more than that, it is making the best out of our live. Great job or not, you can still do that. I am wish you on the ESC THE CITY 100% but this is just coming across cheesy and cheap.

It’s funny how people say these things as they are close to death, but how many of them say this throughout there whole lives? You can essentially shed your old ways of thinking and “die” then live out each of these 10 things and look at it as a new beginning, a new and improved you! This post hit me at a perfect time .

I loved this from the original article but I love it even more that you took the time out to create this. I’ve had it downloaded on my computer since it was first posted and I want to print it and frame it.

I think this is the perfect thing to read each morning. After you finish reading it you then ask yourself, “Am I really living or am I just alive?”

When my dad was diagnosed with cancer, I quickly got a better perspective on my own life. I changed a lot of my values and rearranged my priorities. Too bad it took that diagnosis to prompt me to change.

The article is very interesting for me in my age now. This article re-open my mind and my thoughts. At the same time creates a feeling of great worry to me now, because at my age now I do not have anything in my life. I have not stayed home. I was renting a house to live with my son, my household does not have, including a chair to sit down to eat anything I do not have. I am very worried if later I can not pass anything for my son only. Education son is forced to stop because I do not have a cost. So this article has opened my eyes and my mind not to stop fighting for the future of my son. Various methods will and I have done until now has not even shown the most, but I do not despair. I believe the time will come for me to achieve all of this for my son.

1. Talk it out, Take help from your friends, parents, might be even consult a professional (i dont know about rest but it works for me because these are the people who know u the best and professional is the person who will give u an unbiased advice/ suggestions)

2. Dont do anything what you want to do when you are angry..hold it back, stay quiet and do nothing for that moment (things you feel is really required to be done at that point when you are angry, hold it back..divert your mind after a while you will realize it wasn’t really necessary and it dint worsen the situation)

3. Silence and Smile are most import thing, smile will solve many problems silence will avoid lot of problem

4. sort out your fights in a day, very important.

5. communicate your feelings, be it whatever good or bad but do it in a good way.

I like all the points , My only question to you when everything going wrong with you , what you should do ? I know bad moments are not lasting for ever .But on the dot of bad moments when you can’t avoid, cannot avoid the situation, you are forced to make a decision , and there is every chance that you may take wrong decision —- what to do ? How you face that particular situation ?
