I can totally relate! I also was in law school and pulled out at the end of second year to work and earn money for my family. Anyway, I worked and earned good money but it was soul destroying! It took my failed marriage to wake up and realise that I was failing in most areas of my life because I was not being true to myself and making choices to please everyone else. Now I am to broadcasting school next year. I am 38 – I wish I’d woken up and had the courage a very long time ago, but it doesn’t matter, lesson learned and no looking back now.

i have tried to follow my dreams but they never worked out (the ones that were so important to me, would have made a tremendous, positive impact in my life and that I wanted so much) so I no longer have any. I wouldn’t even know how to develop them and am not sure I want to. I basically take life one day at a time. Realistically, now I know what is possible and likely to happen in my life (I am 58 now) and reality is nowhere close to what my hopes and dreams were. For a long time I lived a life of regret and disappointment (sometimes those feelings still creep in). That is less likely to happen when I just stay with reality and take it one day at a time. This is a fine article but not all of us have hopes and dreams. We have lived lives where reality and dreams have clashed; it hurts too much and therefore not possible.

Following a dream you stand a chance if any not following it at all does nothing but guarentee you never can and will, so take chance becuase you have nothing to loose until you accomplish your dream becuase any dream worth having will be far greater with the journey ahead that whatever could be in your possesion at present.

in short life is nothing more then the choices you make and why you make them. make making the right choices for the right reasons a habit.
