As I train for my first Ironman, the Ironman US Championship on Aug 11, and as I simultaneously co-build a sports media company dedicated to the sport of triathlon, I can't help but completely relate to this article.

I'm going to print this and tape it to my wall, not because I've never heard any of it, but because I, like many others, I need to understand how one side affects the other.

Training is tough and building a company is just as tough if not more. But carrying over the disciplines and well learned lessons from one side to the other is a stronger formula for success.

Thanks you so much for posting this. My business partner and I are at a critical juncture and the timing of this post could not have been better.

Thanks!

What a fantastic article which certainly echoed what I have been saying for sometime now, your physical, team and sporting activities are connected to your business ethos. I am a competitive Cheerleader and I also run my own organisation. I believe that without Cheerleading instilling such great ethics and passion in me from an early age I would not have been as successful in my career. I now still Cheerlead and run marathons as the trill of success is what drives me. In fact I have two weeks till Milan :)Thank you for such a great read! Becky @beckysocial
